Nike Air Max 1 Wabi-Sabi
Our dear Air Max 1 celebrates its 35th anniversary! For the occasion, Nike unveils a special version of its emblematic model, exclusively released in Asia and South America, as part of the Air Max Day of 2022.
The Nike Air Max 1 Wabi-Sabi is based on a Japanese philosopher who advocates minimalism and beauty in the imperfection of things. It features a stem in white canvas which is enhanced by superimpositions of powder pink leather and ocher leather. Several inserts of brown suede and khaki green , on the mudguard and the heel, oscillate between the shoes and bring a mismatch effect . The whole structure is covered with white stitching. Red embroideries form the number " XXXV " in reference to the 35th anniversary of the range AirMax . A "Have A Nike Day" motif covers the heel. The whole rests on an aged sole with cracked patterns and a rubber outsole.
Packed with subtle detail, this never-before-seen edition of Tinker Hatfield's design is featured alongside versions Blueprint and The City of Lights.
