During the Nike “On Air” competition organized by the American brand, independent designers had the opportunity to reinvent iconic models. One of the winners was able to present his own interpretation of Christian Tressler 's iconic design.
To make this Nike Air Max 97 , Gwang Shin was inspired by the city of Seoul. More particularly the neon signs which flood the city with light in the evening. This model has a black leather base, decorated with several colored undulations. They reflect the tones of the national flag. In terms of details, we find two-tone round laces, an oversized swoosh on the quarter panel, as well as the “ Seoul ” inscription affixed to the branding of the tongue and the insoles.
This Air Max 97 Neon Seoul is reminiscent of the edition created by Sean Wotherspoon , in more sober and vibrant colors.
