50 years after the creation of the
Waffle range (directly inspired by the waffle iron of
Bill Bowermann, co-founder of Nike) a new silhouette joins the line: the
Waffle One .
The
Nike Waffle One Black White Swoosh features a black base enhanced with a contrasting white Swoosh and brings together all the elements that made the success of Nike's very first flagship running silhouettes. We find in particular the
lightness and
retro style characteristic of the 70s. Certain elements have nevertheless been revisited, such as the sole which is broken down into three thicknesses, the addition of mesh or the addition of a TPU clip at the level of the heel.
Presenting itself as the perfect alternative to the
LD Waffle from the very famous collaboration between Nike and the Japanese label
Sacai , the Waffle One breathes new life into the Swoosh's summer line-up.
